Briar Street Theatre

Detail: The Briar Street Theatre is located on North Halstead. Designed by the late Walt Topel, founder of Swell Pictures, the theatre's layout is flexible both in terms of patron seating as well as conversion to film and television production. A favorite of theater-goers, the Briar Street has been home to many stars including Marlo Thomas, Mickey Rooney, Veronica Hamel, George Segal, Sada Thompson, Ellen Burstyn, Dorothy Loudon, Shelly Berman, and Betty Buckley.
