On Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, Multiple Solutions, the junior board and auxiliary group of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Illinois Chapter, will host its 6th annual MS Cocktailin’ for the Cause charity benefit at Chicago’s Hard Rock Hotel (230 N. Michigan Ave.) from 7:30 p.m. to midnight
This formal, feel-good event offers excellent food, great music, an open bar and a fabulous silent auction. In the past, the silent auction alone has raised thousands of dollars to support research, educational programs and services for the more than 20,000 families across Illinois living with multiple sclerosis -- an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body, and often stops people from moving.
